When you update the Texture pack to beta 1.2 can you make the dyes not just recoloured wool? But change some to add addigional materials (albeit with illogical recipes)

Green: Seaweed!
Black: Wool
White: Wool

Orange: Sci-Fi Material
Cyan: Fake Box!
Purple: Runestone
Gray: Wool

Light Blue: Squidville Logo
Pink: City Logo
Aqua Green/Lime: Creon Logo
Light Gray: Wool

Magenta: Something Epic!
Brown: ? (Unobtainable ATM)

Any suggestions? Also Is this a good idea!

I think the gray should be the metal, and black be Crystal! That would be epic.

Wool is sweet...

I just finished the test version of the pack, but still have to add the different colours of wool.

I think the basic colours, blue, red and yellow should be used as carpets. The white, black, grey and light grey should all look like wool, as they exist on unpainted sheep. (The blue with a golden edge exists already: the lapis lazuli block)
Green should be seaweed or so (for the new underwater city!), cyan should indeed be the fake box and orange will be some sort of sci-fi material (something metal-like, or a white sci-fi wall?). Purple could be a runestone, but for magenta I have no ideas yet...

I would like to have lime as Creon's symbol. That leaves only light blue and pink as possible City symbols, so whoever wants them should ask as soon as possible (don't forget that blue is incredibly hard to find, so light blue is rather impractical to use as a symbol)!

I haven't succeeded in making well-looking seaweed, but my failed experiment did give me an idea for a Magenta block:
I tried making seaweed with parts made transparant (Like in leaves and glass), but this doesn't work. If you look through the block, most blocks behind it are made invisible, which can be useful when searching for caves. If I change the magenta wool to a block with lots of transparency, it makes for a good cave-finder.

I think we need to use leaves as our seaweed, or else we're gonna end up with solid blocks of seaweed, which is a little strange knowing what normal seaweed looks like... I hope Notch adds actual seaweed sometime, that'd be awesome.

A don't mind a solid block of seaweed, In-fact you could just add darker strands of seaweed where it should be transparent!



I like the idea of Magenta-Cave finder!

If you've got your Graphic Settings on Fancy, leaves look just like seaweed.

The texture pack is nearly ready to be uploaded, as all I'm still missing is the texture for the pink wool (Jorgas's village symbol). Once I have a texture for that block, I will upload the texture pack, which will have quite some changes (especially the GUI textures have had a nice make-over), and the splashes seen on the start menu (Those yellow lines full of nonsense) have been changed a bit as well, and now even feature some advertisement for the Condos, Squidville and Creon!
Oh, and if anyone has an idea for another splash, post it here and I might just add it!
