In order to spare your species the unpleasant side effects (short-term memory loss, long-term memory loss, sudden desires to do pointless things rather than stuff that's important, etc.), we decided it was a better option to flee.

Also, we felt quite out of the loop, and decided to advanced to the point that we could do something. Not that we're probably here soon enough to be of any help. Or that our Forgotthiswebsiteexisteditis allowed us to focus on it.
