We currently only use the point system of the roleplay section, where you receive points for creating EA-related creations/levels. On our new forum, we can add another point system, which uses your amount of points.

This point system grants you points based on where you posted your message. For example, you could receive 5 points for posting in the Roleplay section, and only 1 point for posting in the Off-Topic section.

My question to you all is: Should I activate this point system, and what should it be used for, if you choose to have it activated.

I think you shouuld activate it just to see how active everyone is!

But, can you update the roleplay page, i really dont wanna sound pushy, but i would like to see that im on the map, and be an active member.

I guess I'll activate it soon, with a different amount of points rewarded for posting in different sections. I hope we'll find a true use for it once it's in use.

@Kingnecromancer: I'll update the map as soon as I can, altough that will still take a while (I use two different computers, one for Spore and the Alliance (It can't handle more than that...), the other for all other uses, like the creation of a new map, editing pictures so they can be used in the AED etc. I don't always have access to the second computer, so that's why it may take a while).

The points system has been activated! Go and see how many points you have, for they've been added to your profile already!
To gain points, there a several things you can do: Post messages, add friends, and you'll even get one point for every day since your registration!

Now we must find a true use for the system, so if anyone has any suggestions, please post them here!

Can you send points to other people?

As far as I know, only the admin (That's me) can give people extra points. Maybe it's also possible to remove points (Still have to check out how exactly the system works), and if so is the case, points could be used as resources or so, which enable you to buy special spaceships for you army or something like that.

This idea's interesting. However, since the RP is not really linked to the forum, how could we force our races to wait for a certain number of points to be reached to research something, or in the contrary research it right away when we don't have the knowledge necessary for that?
Or would we create another RP, linked to this point system?

It'd be a good expierement,, but for now, I guess I must change my opinion... Lets just stick with what we've got. (at least on the points)
