Okay lemme come up with a different buff... How about longer regeneration from milk or better regeneration?

You could instead have the House of Eyes, who have a culture based around carrots and bows. Or a House of Ink, who record every detail they can.

I'd love the later to exist (Perhaps with a different family name?).

but seriously, how about italian names for the words, like house of Maiale (pig) and- ooh
We could even have a godfather type RP, that would be really interesting. Like a crime RP, not necessarily godfather, maybe:

1. A Godfather type game, with Italian families, assassinations, "drugs(Wheat, potatoes would make good replacements)" and also police players.

2. Crime RP, Just organized and non-organized crime in general.

With 1.4, all this would be MUCH easier then we could hope for, with modding API and the ability to force texture packs. We could have a grey sky to simulate a darkish feel, with most of the blocks looking wet and shabby. This would work really well, and this kinda RP is quite original!

I really don't want to do a modern RP, it just isn't the same on Minecraft. For me on minecraft, modern cities and stuff like that are pretty boring because that's what I see everyday. (And my new skin is a vampire, I wonder why?)

IMHO Minecraft + Modern = Doesn't feel right...

Also 1.4 doesn't have the modding api, the guys from bukkit who where doing it are being slow/careful so everything is right.

Modern RPGs can be awesome, but I agree that in Minecraft, they usually don't feel right. I am sure some people managed to pull off a nice one, but not in such a small community. Then again, if we want this to be a real roleplay, we'll need some more members, i.e. a thread on the Minecraft Forums.

Should we use different races again, or should we keep everyone human (vampires and such are humans, so they can stay if we want them to)?

And yeah, I think we should just build everything in the RP, so no pre-built stuff.

I thought maybe all the same race and different family/cultures who almost create there own sub-race.

So say one culture live predominately underground, they may find being strong and short very useful for traversing tunnels. Where as people who may live up a mountain may find keeping long hair and a large fat reserve useful for the climate.

I agree with you guys, all of the ideas are good. But I wonder what a person who would live in a cave network underneath a partly snowy mountain range be?

Well if the race was banished and sent to live underground for the rest of its existence, probably not very friendly.

Is the IP the same as the Tekkit server or is it different?

RP server is up, The difficulty is locked in hard for more realism (mobs actually hurt you now and you can starve to death) There is no white list, so unless you call on everybody I hate you should be able to just invite your friends to help you. I'll try to put the old Tekkit map up for download tomorrow (well... my tomorrow) and it might take a while since school is being bitchy

Everything is really cool now with the update. Especially the new sounds.

I just realised, if we want to, we could set up quick travel ports or stables.

You can use Command Blocks to teleport people..
