Tomorrow, I'll update the texture packs with some new paintings. I already finished the Wanted poster (1x1), which replaces the rose painting. Any suggestions for other paintings?

Well, currently we have two factions - Lindblum and Agantha - which both have their own flags (Blue and Red).

There are three races, Orcs, Elves and Humes, and there are Clans.

As Minecraft has a rather small amount of paintings available, it would be impossible to give all clans their own flags. Clans will simply have to create flags using wool.
The three races could have their own flags, but why would they need flags? The factions and clans (which are usually town-based, meaning that one clan usually inhabits one town) have members of all races, so there doesn't seem to be much of a use for flags for each race.

I updated the HD Pack Version 2, as well as the SD Pack. Version 1 and 3 might be updated as well, but the amount of times the older version were downloaded suggest they are hardly ever used. If you do use them and want them updated, please tell me.

We will soon upload a .jar you that has a client-mod installed: CapeMe. Its server-side counterpart has been installed on our server. We will also patch the .jar file with the HD Patcher.

CapeMe allows us to change the names shown above people's heads, and it allows us to use custom capes everyone (who has the mod installed) can see. Please only use a cape if it actually fits your character, though!

The mod does not at all affect playing on servers that don't have the mod installed. Also, it is still possible to play on our server with an unmodified version of Minecraft, though you will not be able to see the custom names and capes.

Remove that .jar, it's in violation of copyright. You cannot share any file from minecraft, and I'm sure Capeme has an installer!

It's pretty good in most things, but some, like stone, looks horrible. Wood is iffy. But it's still something where you can put maybe a few more grains of effort into, sorry to say that.

Which stone? Smoothstone, or cobblestone? If it is cobblestone, you probably don't remember all previous posts about this pack: Cobblestone looks like broken smoothstone, and looks great in combination with smoothstone. It looks horrible as a building material, which was my goal: People will have to find and bake clay in order to get bricks.

And what is it that makes wood (planks or logs?) iffy? The new texture on the top and bottom of the logs was made to look good as roots for a large tree. Also, when standing underneath a large tree, you used to be able to see strange logs that looked as if they were cut by someone's axe. Now, these blocks look like branches.

You do know that this is a very early version of the pack? I had changed only some of the blocks when I uploaded it. Last night, I changed a lot of other blocks, and I am going to work on a new HUD, new items, new interfaces and everything later.
A newer version will be uploaded soon.

I was hoping for some comments on the sci-fi-ish textures, like the metal blocks, the TVs, the torches and of course, the completely new chest , workbench and (wooden) door textures (which aren't very sci-fi-ish, though, as they have to look good in wooden houses too.

Also you do know clay is now as rare as diamonds, since Notch messed up the World Gen? For wooden doors, why not actually make them glass doors? They always look sci-fi-y. Also I'm sure whatever you do, it'll be nice!

We will be adding large amounts of clay manually. As for the glass doors, I think I will use those in the space-texture pack (The texture pack used in the space-world, which is complete emptiness except for some spaceships and spacestations (Movecraft could be used here!). The Elithian texture pack, which is the one of which I released a test-version yesterday, will keep the wooden doors, as the Aegi still use lots of wooden houses.

I'll start a poll soon in which we'll decide what planets to use. Every planet gets its own texture pack (But with quite some shared textures, for the spaceships and such). Too bad we can't change the colour of the sky, nor the colour of the water (when underwater)...

omg an asteroid planet would be SO COOL.
We would need a way to make the bottom of it NOT the void tho, so people could jump into space and die...Wait, Is there a way to make the void look like space?

There is a plugin that makes it midnight all the time. And when it is midnight, the void is black.

As for the different colors of waters, I do remember seeing an image called 'water', of which I didn't know what it did. I'll see what it does when I change it!


Also, I plan to change most wool textures (white, blue, red and green will keep their wool-textures) to sci-fi stuff, but I'm not sure what kind of sci-fi stuff we could use... Any suggestions?
Suggestions for paintings or any other block/item are welcome too!
