Minecraft Roleplay Rules (OLD)

Rules for the Minecraft Roleplay will be posted here once they're made, and this is also the place to suggest new rules or modifications of existing rules.

By joining the server 84.80.38.136:25565, you agree to all of the rules listed below, as well as to the possible punishments for breaking them:

-Damaging or destroying any custom-built structures is forbidden. This includes damaging crops by walking on them, cutting down trees near or inside villages and breaking doors and fences.
-No removing random blocks. When digging, this should have a purpose (gathering resources, accessing caves). When having damaged something by accident, please call for an OP to fix the damage, or restore the blocks yourself if possible (using the same blocks as they were present before damaging the terrain).
-Cutting down small trees far from villages is allowed, but a sapling must me planted afterwards right where the original tree was. When cutting down trees, you MUST remove ALL logs and leaves, then plant a sapling. Cutting down large trees (with multiple branches) is not allowed.
-No random building. If you are to build a house, trap or any other (large) structure you must ask an OP for approval. Building inside your own house is allowed, but please keep it realistic. If you're not sure whether a certain construction is within limits, please ask an OP for his/her opinion.
-No digging underneath village walls, fences and doors.
-Mining in mines and caves is allowed. If ever you accidentally reach the surface, you must inform an OP to have the hole fixed again.
-Digging tunnels outside of the caves and mines is not allowed. Please also refrain from digging too many tunnels if not needed.
-Villages can have a storage. These storages must have at least one entrance accesable by all, but it can be hidden. Breaking through the walls of a storage is not allowed.
-Everyone may have only one personal small chest, in which items are completely safe.
-Small chests may never be plundered, not at times of peace, nor at times of war.
-Large chests can be plundered, so be careful about what you store inside them!
-Starting a fire at any place is strictly forbidden, for it can easily ruins the entire world.
-You can only kill players of other factions/villages. Killing inside mines is not allowed, killing in caves is. (A cave is any random natural cave. A mine is a cave accessed through a double door, with a sign stating it's a mine next to or above the entrance. If ever a mine and a cave are connected, the entrance of the cave must be changed into a mine's entrance.)
-No foul language.
-No annoying other people on purpose.
-No blocking doorways and such by standing in them.
-No modding and hacking.

-More rules may be added in the future.
-Breaking the rules may be punished in various ways. Here's a list of possible punishments:
-Removal of all of your items by an OP.
-Temporary lockdown in a prison.
-Being kicked by an OP.
-Being banned, temporarily or permanently.
-You player data being deleted (This results in you having to start all over again.)

What about,

No Begging people for things, ask them if they say no, don't keep pleading!
No Ruining peoples Houses/Traps.
Don't build rediculous projects like Lava sewer systems or Underground tree farms without the mods say so and help!
No Glitched Items!

Begging for items is allowed, and if you don't stop begging when you're asked to stop it's annoying on purpose (one of the last rules). Ruining houses and traps is damaging/destroying structures (first rule), and glitched itmes are either the result of hacking or modding (last rule), or the result of glitches ingame not yet fixed by Notch. If the last one is the case, we can't punish ypu for having/using glitched items.

The 'No random building' is a nice one though, so I'll add a rule based on it right away!

@Aegonian: Should the others have to pick which town they belong to before they start?

I normally have access to the game now. So how do I access the Elithian browser? And my username is "Megundan"(completely stinks, I know, but it was the only one I had in mind as the other one I originally wanted was already taken.)

You click on multiplayer and enter the ip....

Which I am not at liberty to give you...

Also I suggest downloading the game as it runs quicker!

Hey Thunder, I chose the Thea part at the beggining because of, well, it means The Elithian Alliance, in a way. I don't really like the human-like people (not Hyui), but if I need to, I will be in their village with Veoline. My guy is a Crusader Knight! Did you see him yet?

The server is finally online now, and the IP has been added to the Rules list!
Unfortunetely, as our server has had some problems when saving the world, we have lost quite some progress resulting in villages and such not being finished yet.

However, we will open the server to any who wishes to enter now, and these are some things people can do for now:
-Help us build the unfinished projects: If you would like to do so, you'll probably be assigned to copy a certain building on a marked location.
-Explore the already-built villages and such. This could help you decide where you want to start when we actually start playing.
-Gathering resources isn't allowed yet, and it's quite useless for now: Once we start playing, all Player Data will be deleted. This means that your inventory, location and chest content will be deleted, so that everyone's gonna start equally.

So basically, it means the only thing we're doing right now is constructing strucutres, to set the stage for when we actually start playing, right?

It's Garyville (never can remember the proper name) for the Elves Elfs Aegi
It's I really cant remember for the Hoomans
And It's Mjzore for the hybrids and outcasts (NOT OUTLAWS!)

Anyways, for some reason, I still can't access the world, even with the IP.

Yeah, that's exactly what we're doing right now!

Well, as of now, three villages have been made: Gerynia, Hellendale and Mjzore. Villages still being built are Dargonheim and the Guild City, but the latter will probably be a public place, where people can gather and prepare quests together. Most villages will support two to three villagers, knowing that we don't have enough members to have larger villages.

Gerynia is inhabited by Elvaar (Aegi-like people), and is a village hidden in the trees of Gerynia forest. It's inhabited by me and Ryiin, and is probably full already...
Hellendale is a Hy'ui (the human-like people) village, which is built on a hill near a huge lake. It doesn't have any official inhabitants yet.
Mjzore is an underground village run by Thunderpants, and I think it can be inhabited by hybrids and outcasts. Obviously, it's inhabited by Thunderpants now. It has the largest personal houses as of yet, btw.
Dargonheim is going to be another underground village, which will be inhabited by Orgon: Ogre-like people. It had been built already, but a glitch when saving caused it to be lost.

Starting from now, everyone can chose a village of their liking and ask to live there, and tomorrow I'll probably make a thread about the locations and inhabitants and such, where you'll be able to see who lives where and what you can do in each village. If the mapping-tools work, we'll also create an official map of the world and post it there.

Oh, and the server's offline now, as the two of us are going to get to bed soon. Tomorrow the server will be up and running again.

Same here, I Guess the server is off...

Please remember the server is run of one of the computers Aegionian has...

if i ever get this game, i will be a hybrid, im fanactical about hybridism.

actually, do we have to make skins out the templates or can we just take the skins we already have? I actually like my skin, wich is a kind of gladiator.
